What I hate about these new cars is once the manufacturers started going with all these turbo charged and supercharger engines these cars are now a pain in the a** it really makes you miss naturally aspirated engines and the reliability they brought they are also easier to work cutting your repair bill down they build these cars now so you have no other choice but to go to the shop

id have a reputable shop look at it from bumper to bumper if you like the car that much and you seem to be ballin, buy once cry once itll be all fixed up and ready to rock and should be faster.

You need to make sure the pulleys are aligned properly.. it can be one washer missing offsetting a pulley or the supercharger.. You never know the skill level of the person that installed it but the problem is just a simple misalignment..

8.2 @ 88 😬. My old Z28 (LS1 car, T56) ran 8.4 @ 86mph 1/8th and 12.8 @ 110mph 1/4 with just a lid / free ram air on all seasons. Something is off with your car… would be curious to see what the AFR looks like. Might need a tune

Reason #1 is enough, Gen 6 Camaro's look like a Malibu, butt ugly...everyone knows this. That's why no one buys them unless priced at a HUGE discount. Reason #2: Much more difficult/costly to tune due to the torque based ecu...ask any tuner. The Gen 6 ugliness was a major disaster for GM, but the Camaro will be back after GM does a reset on the design once the public gets the he ugly thought of gen 6 out of their mind...you'll see.

I love the look of the 5th gen only because of bumblebee but i would buy 6th gen only because of the carplay/android auto after having it in my 19' impala premier it makes life so much more convenient compared too having those stands that you attach too the air fan and put your phone on

But I can definitely see the appeal of the 5th gen. 5th gen looks more traditional and true muscle car style in my personal opinion. But as you say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure your spot on with every other parts of your assessment. Your last point was very interesting. Id never thought about how all the technical gadjets in a car would make them age worse in the long term. A good point indeed. And I can definitely see the appeal of more analog and simpler controls and functions. Plus all the technology being built into cars is definitely just something else to break, and be mighty expensive to fix.

To me the greatest advantage of the 5th Gen over the 6th Gen is you have a true LS3 engine without active fuel management. Sadly the 5th Gen Auto has a L99, the modified LS3 that gains variable valve timing but with that also receives the active fuel management valve train BS.

The screens are definitely crap, what is the weight difference from 5th to 6th gen? I know the 5th gen is a heavy coupe at around 3800 lbs..

How often does the car kick down into 9th on the highway? I'm shocked they kept the gearing the same in the v6 as the v8. 1.5k rpm @70mph is kinda wild for high revving v6 with not a ton of torque.

stop putting all seasons on your car idc if its 405 width the compound makes more of a difference than the size this has been shown many times. Dont worry about reaction time and what not for now just worry about trap speed and remember you have a centrifugal supercharger its basically a pulley driven turbo its more suited to rolls or 1/4 mile than an 1/8 mile. I have a feeling whomever tuned your SS is a total goober or something cause my bolt on 93 gen 1 5.0 trapped 91.49 in Texas in 95 degree heat in July and i didnt even have headers. Gears might be a good investment if your gonna do digs. I hope the AWD charger is still there
